What is DTF Printing?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a process where a digital design is printed onto a special film and then heat-transferred directly onto the fabric. It allows for full-color designs, fine detail, and great durability, making it ideal for everything from small runs to large batch production.

 

How the DTF Printing Process Works

Here’s a simple breakdown of what happens once you place your order:

 

1. Digital Design Setup
Your design is prepared digitally, whether it's bold text, detailed artwork, or full-color graphics. DTF technology captures it all with high resolution and color accuracy.

 

2. Printing on Specialized Film
The design is printed (in mirror image) onto a coated PET film using a DTF printer. A layer of powdered adhesive is applied to the back and cured, making it ready for transfer.

 

3. Heat Press Application
The printed film is positioned on the garment, then pressed using a heat press. The heat bonds the design to the fabric, resulting in a smooth, vibrant, and durable print.
